flowers in the kitchen

Pink Daughter and her charming assistant, Blue Daughter,
have been ringing the doorbell to sell me flowers from the garden:
20 cents per mini wheelbarrow
OR NO DEAL, MAMMA.

Now they have a lot of coins
and I have a lot of flowers.

  1. I think that you and Scottish husband have produced a couple of budding entrepreneurs Mise.
They will definitely be able to keep you in the style to which you are accustomed in your old age.....your own flowers too and not from someone else's garden....even cleverer !!
..... and, they look so pretty...they obviously know that you are a sucker for anything pretty. Maybe they could sell your own cushions back to you ?!!
Thanks so much for your lovely comment today....I was doing my bragging mummy bit. XXXX

  2. Hello Mise

What clever children. Your garden must be a sea of colour. I love the art wall beside the AGA. Tell Blue and Pink girl to find some mushrooms and I will gladly buy them.

  8. Hello Mise:
Is there a leprechaun at the bottom of your garden by any chance? If so, surely Blue and Pink daughters will be on to a jackpot selling the luck of the Irish!!!!

May there be perpetual blooming in your delightful home!!!

  18. Mise I need to have your kitchen and those beautiful flowers.

I could also do with some daughters too, all I get from the garden are worms and creepy crawly things to make me scream. Darned boys.

  19. This is adorable! I love the pink flowers - I've been growing some of these at home using triple F supplement and they're coming on really well. I love the vases you've got in your kitchen in the background btw.

  20. And very pretty flowers too! But what is that I spy in the background - a bright yellow Aga? Holey Moley I just developed a severe case of oven envy...

  25. Pink and Blue daughters have a glittering career ahead of them, I think. And oh, your lovely kitchen! Did you have to do a huge tidy before the photo? Out of shot, do you have chairs covered in all sorts, magazines, and cats?

    1. If only, Jayne, if only, but I am the only person in the household cursed with a sense of orderliness, so the chairs are always covered in nothing and I am tired.

  26. I think if I were presented with such pretty flowers then I would have to also 'buy them back' ...
I think my own flowers have been sold to the neighbors. That and all the duck eggs.

  27. Thank you for the beautiful bright picture and visions of flower peddlers. (Do you have to take them to the market now so they can buy heavily armed lego figures with their coins?)

  28. Wow! I love your kitchen and I love the flowers.
And you sure do have very smart daughters....watch out for them sneaking back in, taking the flowers from your kitchen, and re-selling the flowers to you again.
Have caught my DDs at that trick more than once. And I think my daughters have sent their "How to fleece your mother with flowers" book to your two!

  31. Worth every farthing! I have to say...other than they're natural environment, your kitchen is the most perfect backdrop for the posies!
Pink and Blue having mastered the art of the sale at such an early age is quite impressive...might a little flower stand be next on the horizon?
